Through our BarrFlex TU joint venture, we are a leading supplier of thermoplastic tape materials for composite pipes and downhole tools in the onshore and offshore oil and gas markets. Our materials are used in light weight composite-based flexible pipe and riser solutions in order to extract energy more cost effectively and safely than incumbent steel pipes in high pressure and corrosive deep-water environments. Our thermoplastic tape offering is tailored to the specific needs of this market and utilize carbon, S-glass and ceramic fiber along with polymers such as PEKK, PEEK, PVDF and HDPE.
